professional experience
| • | Designed online and traditional marketing for hundreds of community banks and credit unions all over the country. |
| • | Created multiple Style Guides (sample color schemes, typography, and photography) according to the client’s needs expressed in the initial discovery phone call. |
| • | When the Sitemap (generic wireframes laid out by the Asst. Creative Director) and the Style Guide are client-approved, I designed the user experience (UX) of the entire website, seeking critiques from peers when needed. |
| • | Designed each page of the website, including favicon, home banner, and online forms using mainly Fireworks, while editing elements in Photoshop and Illustrator. |
| • | Worked closely with a partnering Front-End Developer who made it all functional. |
| • | Designed print ads, posters, statement stuffers, billboards, and other needs, using mainly InDesign, while editing elements in Photoshop and Illustrator, and finalizing in Acrobat Pro. |
| • | Organized the Go Green Bar Camp (a group committed to keeping the workplace environmentally conscious), and also designed recycle signage, newsletters, and posters for fundraising events. |
| • | Produced all in-house design work, using Word, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro (with Quite Imposing plugin) and PageMaker. |
| • | Typeset, edited, and optimized files for printing. |
| • | Supervisory duties such as overseeing the shift, opening and closing, cash handling, etc. |

| • | The curriculum consisted of Foundation courses (color theory, 2D, 3D), Studio Art courses (drawing, painting, illustration), Art History courses (from Ancient to Modern), and Design courses (digital imaging, typography, interactive, and art direction). |
| • | I taught myself how to use Photoshop and Illustrator in 1997 and soon became interested in designing and maintaining my own website with HTML and JavaScript in 1999. I later figured out PHP and CSS in 2002. |
